In short: your media is private by default; it becomes public only when you publish it yourself or turn on auto-publish.

01

When content becomes public

Media you generate or upload is private by default and visible only to you in your account library.

Content becomes public in one of two ways: you publish an item from your library yourself, or you turn on the auto-publish setting in Account settings, after which each new generation is published as soon as it completes.

Auto-publish is off by default. Turning it on or off affects future generations only; it does not change the state of items already published.

02

Who can see public content

Public content appears on your public profile page at an address of the form /u/<account identifier>, and in the shared Explore library.

Anyone holding the address can open it, including people without a NICESHOT.ai account and people who are not signed in.

Search engines may index public content, so it can appear in search results outside NICESHOT.ai.

03

The licence you grant

When you publish content, you grant NICESHOT.ai a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of showing it publicly, for as long as it remains public.

This licence covers display only. You keep ownership of the content, and ownership does not transfer to NICESHOT.ai.

When you make the content private again, the licence to display it publicly in future ends.

04

Your responsibility

Publish only content you have the right to publish.

Do not publish an image containing a person who has not agreed to it being made public.

Public content is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy and may be removed if it breaches that policy.

05

Removing public content

You can make a published item private again, or delete it entirely from the media library in your account.

Removal stops the content being served from that point onward.

Copies already held in content delivery network caches may persist for a period, and anyone who downloaded or indexed the content beforehand keeps their own copy. NICESHOT.ai cannot retrieve those copies.

06

Reporting public content

Anyone can report public content that breaches our policies to support@niceshot.ai, including the address of the content.

If you appear in content that was published without your agreement, send a removal request to privacy@niceshot.ai.

That request is handled as a personal data request under the Privacy Policy.
