Connect Claude and ChatGPT to NICESHOT.ai: Make Images by Messaging

Aug 18, 20264 min read

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor to your NICESHOT.ai account and produce images by messaging. How to connect, what it can do, and how credits are protected.

Most AI image tools make you click: upload, choose a scene, wait, download, open another tab to cut out the background, upload again. Repeat for twenty products and the afternoon is gone.

MCP changes that. Instead of clicking, you message your AI assistant, and it calls NICESHOT.ai's tools directly inside your account.

What MCP is

Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external services. Think of it as a USB port: connect once, and the assistant can use that service from then on.

The important part: this is not a chatbot answering questions about the product. The assistant genuinely runs tools in your account — producing real images, saved to your real library.

Connecting, in three steps

One: copy the connection address https://mcp.niceshot.ai/mcp

Two: open your assistant's connector settings, name it NICESHOT.ai and paste that address in.

Three: sign in with your own NICESHOT.ai account, then start giving instructions.

Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor all work, and all use this same address. Any assistant supporting MCP over HTTP can connect. Full instructions at https://niceshot.ai/en/mcp

What it can do

The assistant can read your image library, run a product shoot with the model and backdrop you choose, generate new images from a description, remove backgrounds, upscale, and check the progress of running jobs.

The real value is chaining. You write one sentence — find the newest product image, shoot it on a marble surface, then cut out the best result and upscale it 2x — and the assistant runs the whole chain. No tab switching, no downloading and re-uploading between steps.

Browsing your library and checking progress are free. Only generation actions consume credits, at exactly the same rate as on the website — there is no separate MCP plan and no surcharge.

On safety

This is the most common question, and the answer is short.

Every credit-spending action pauses. The system returns a request awaiting confirmation and nothing has been charged; it runs only when you approve. If the assistant misreads your intent, you catch it before any credits go. That is a safeguard, not a malfunction.

The assistant sees only your own images and jobs, through exactly the tools it was granted. It cannot see payment methods, passwords or anyone else's data. To disconnect, delete the connector in your assistant's settings and access ends immediately.

One limitation worth knowing upfront

Claude and ChatGPT run on servers, so they cannot read files on your machine. You need to give the assistant a public image link, or upload to the website first and then have the assistant find it in your library. Claude Code and Cursor can upload directly.

Who this is for

If you produce a handful of images a month, the web interface is faster and more visual. MCP will not help much.

If you work in volume — dozens of products per batch, repeating the same chain of operations — this is a real time difference. One sentence instead of four clicks, multiplied by fifty products.
